Fire Station Roundabout Improvement Works. Update No. 7 – April 2025
The Fire Station roundabout works are progressing well, with the inner lanes now complete and have been surfaced. Work has now switched to widening the outside lanes.
The improvement works are due to complete mid-to late-July 2025, subject to permission from GCC Highways for overnight closure for resurfacing.
After resurfacing, all traffic management (cones and lane restrictions) will be removed from the carriageway and work will begin on the refurbishment of the subway.
We have instructed our contractors to update the signage on the carriageway to reflect these new dates.
We apologise for the inconvenience these necessary works may cause. Our teams are working as quickly and safely as they can.
