The square itself, at the neighbourhood centre, would provide opportunities for occasional events or celebrations, furthering its role as a point of community focus and interaction.
The Steadings will complement and expand the existing provision in Cirencester providing new facilities for all residents and visitors to the local area.
The masterplan seeks to consolidate a range of activities and services within the neighbourhood centre at the heart of The Steadings, including retail and other services, a GP surgery, a multi-purpose community hall, café and restaurants, and bus stops. The facilities will also be close to the new primary school, with the new sports, health and fitness facilities a short distance to the south.

The village centre, within phase 2, will have commercial units which could accommodate a café, restaurant or shops. Each of the three employment areas can also help support local amenities.
