Update on preliminary works on the Fire Station roundabout
Further to the preliminary works starting on the Fire Station roundabout on Monday 24th June, we can confirm that this initial stage of work is now complete and all traffic management has been removed.
During the three days of works, most of the trees were removed but two were retained due to the presence of nesting birds (pigeons). Once the young birds have fledged and the nests are empty we will remove these two trees as part of the main works.
The main works will start on Monday, 29th July, starting with the Love Lane / Midland Road junction.
